This year, Cambridge India Day introduces a special new award programme: the Community Champion Recognition Awards.
The awards will be presented on Sunday, 5 July 2026, at Jesus Green, Cambridge, during Cambridge India Day. They aim to recognise and celebrate the unsung heroes who dedicate their time, energy, passion and kindness to improving the lives of others across Cambridgeshire.
Nominations have now closed. Thank you to everyone who put someone forward — the winners will be celebrated live at the festival.
Help us shine a light on those who make our communities stronger, kinder and more connected. This will be our gratitude to them.
Who can be nominated?
You can nominate any Cambridgeshire resident, across all communities and regardless of race or nationality, who has carried out some measurable and remarkable work in this region. Nominations require a Gmail account.

The awards will be presented by Ms Sattaru Ashwini Naidu (IFS 2008) — Minister for Commonwealth, Education, Health, International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Science & Technology, India.
